WARNING: CONTAINS MOVIE SPOILER
Well today was a family day. For lack of better things to do I'm going to describe the entire day.
Got up at around nine, did some stuff I don't remember, went
downstairs. Caught my sister in the middle of watching Psycho. VERY odd
movie. By the time it ended we were all downstairs so we left for the
beach. Went to Hampton beach. Fed about 30 quarters into a parking
meter. walked down the line of shops, found a restaurant with a deck,
had lunch. I had a cheeseburger. Yum. Anyways, after lunch we went to a
henna shop, and spent around half an hour deciding what to dye onto
ourselves (us being Jane and I). It was a good thing we took so long,
because it rained from about the time we got there, to a few minutes
before we left, so we weren't out walking in the rain. Jane got a
spikey thing on her back, and I got a leafy thing on my back. They had
to pin up my shirt so it wouldn't ruin it, and it was kind of
uncomfortable. So we went back to the car, got bathing suits, and found
someplace to change. Jane and I just put on tops and wore jeans, but my
mom actually went swimming in the ocean. In May. She's crazy. So then
we walked around the shops a lot, my mom got a pair of flip-flops, and
we ate ice cream. there were TWO places there that had 24 flavors of
soft serve. I had german chocolate, which was basically coconut
flavored. Oh well, it was cold. and then we actually went on the beach
and I think I fell asleep. It was nice, not really that warm, and with
a breeze, and live music across the street, playing good songs. So then
we went to get our birthday dinner (I had to put my shirt back on at
this point :( ). It was this place that's apparently recommended by the
Phantom Gourmet, and it had HUGE lobster. I swear, there was someone
there sharing a five pound lobster. At least, it looked around 5 lbs.
We got steamers (moderately clean, nothing like the mussels we had last
time, those were disgusting...) and lobster. It was REALLY good
lobster. Mmmmm.... *bliss* We took the dried henna stuff off in the
parking lot afterwards so it wouldn't get all over the car. Then we
went to Penguin, got "House of Fog and Sand," and went home. It was
INCREDIBLY depressing. This woman loses her house and this family buyes
it, and then she's trying to get it back, but they won't give it up,
and they're all in really bad situations, and then this police officer
guy is trying to help her, but he ends up screwing everything up, and
then the son gets shot and dies and the guy kills himself and his wife
and the police officer goes to jail and the woman from the beginning
just sits there looking depressed, and it's terrible.
....I hope you never wanted to see that movie. Well I didn't say everything... Just the important plot points...
Anyways that was my day, it was fun. Sorry for the movie spoiler.
